Yusef Bunchy Shakur (born Joseph Ruffin) is an activist, author, and businessman in Detroit. He was born in 48208. A co-founder of the Zone 8 gang, he was in prison starting at age 19. By his release, he had changed his name and become a community-focused activist. Author of the memoir "The Window 2 My Soul". Opened the Urban Network Bookstore in 2009.
