Concord Mills 

History

The Concord Mills Mall is a shopping mall located in Concord, North Carolina. The Concord Mills Mall is owned by the Simon Property Group. The mall opened in September 1999. Concord Mills has more than 200 stores, making it the largest outlet mall in North Carolina. Concord Mills is North Carolina's largest tourist attraction.

Attractions

There are various attractions located within Concord Mills. The mall has a 24 Screen AMC/IMAX Theatre. There is also a Dave & Buster’s restaurant and sports bar.

The mall features The Speedpark at Concord Mills. The Speedpark offers go-karting, golfing, and other recreational opportunities.

In February 2014, The Sea Life aquarium opened in Concord Mills. The aquarium has several attractions, including a touch pool and the Tropical Ocean exhibit and tunnel. Sea Life hosts several talks and feedings throughout the day.

Renovations

The Simon Corporation announced that Concord Mills would be renovating in 2016. The renovations began in May and is scheduled to finish in early 2017. These renovations include the addition of three restaurants in the parking lot. Interior design changes are also planned, with new seating, lounge areas, and LED lighting.

Location

Concord Mills is located near Interstate 85 at exit 49 on Concord Mills Boulevard. The mall is near Uptown Charlotte and Charlotte Douglas International Airport. The mall is also located near the Charlotte Motor Speedway.
