Wiki-Wednesdays: Fall 2015

Hundreds of new contributions were made to ArborWiki over the summer. And we'd like to see that momentum continue through the fall. So The CivCity Initiative is planning to host weekly Wiki-Wednesday edit sessions. The next session will be held Oct. 7, 2015  at El Harissa Market/Cafe at 1516 North Maple Rd. (back of strip mall just north of Maple & Miller, on the 12A/12B AAATA bus route.) Time: 6:30pm to 8pm (cafe closes at 8pm, which is a great way to define a hard stop). You'll need to bring your own device for editing. We'll be taking a Lumps of Work approach.

If you can't attend the next session, but would like to be added to an email list, send a note to civcity.badges@gmail.com.  We plan to coordinate Lumps of Work with a shared Google Sheet, so you might find that you enjoy using the Sheet's chat window to check in remotely for Wiki-Wednesday, even if you can't attend in person!

Featured project: Playgrounds!

Explore one of Ann Arbor's many playgrounds, take a snapshot of the play structure, and let us know how great it is!

Have been tracking one of my far distant cousins, He was Burt Goodridge who was born in 1888 in Milan, Monroe County, Michigan. He died November 8, 1960 and was buried in Rice Cemetery, Monroe County, Michigan. His wife was Erba Austin who died in 1951, and is buried in the same cemetery as her husband. All I know of their children was that they had William, Charles, Fred, Lillie and finally Arthur. Any further information would be greatly appreciated.
