LeGrand Wells was a son of H. N. and B. [or D.] M. Wells, in cemetery records. He died as a three-year-old in a choking accident while his father, Henry Wells was away serving in the Civil War. He is buried near his mother in the Philbrooks lot in Pine Ridge Cemetery; she later married James A. Philbrooks.
