A visitor to the Saranac Laboratory Museum in 2013, Sandy Caster, from Saranac, shared information about an Orphan Train from Saranac Lake. Sandy described having seen pictures and letters from a family in Kansas that adopted four girls who had come from Saranac Lake on an orphan train.
