Other names: Nurses Home

Year built: c. 1913

Other information: In 1911 Mrs. Whitelaw Reid gave $10,000 for the nurses cottage at the Adirondack Cottage Sanatorium. The Nurses' Cottage, named in honor of Mrs. Reid's deceased father, had the capacity to house six students. The cottage featured a south facing porch and private bedrooms as well as amenities such as a fireplace and dressing closets with running water. It was the original site of the D. Ogden Mills Training School for Nurses, which was moved to the new Reid Nurses Home in 1930.

The term "Nurses Cottage" might also have been used to identify Blumenthal Cottage at the sanatorium, which had eight rooms for patients who were graduate and student nurses.
