Course Description  BP300 provides learners with an advanced, on-location review of a beef cattle operation. The course is for learners with basic knowledge of beef cattle or beef cattle production.  Ideally, learners participating in BP300 will have completed BP200 Beef Cattle Production - Classroom.  BP300's language and terminology go beyond that presented in either BP100 or BP200; learners will move among stations at an actuall beef cattle production operation.   BP300 is an ideal program for learners with more than a passing interest in starting  beef cattle production.

Learning Level  Advanced beginning farmer or diversifying producer.

Bring to Class  BP300 is on-farm instruction.  Learners must prepare for for close up or hands-on contact with beef cattle.  Dress appropriately.  Participants will experience sights, sounds, and smells of a beef production operation which may include contact with manure and animal bodily fluids.  The program's condition may include exposure to high ambient temperatures, biting insects, soil, mud, and dust.  Learners should bring their own drinks, sunscreen, and insect repellant.
