Civic advocacy is the process of speaking out regarding public affairs.   It may be for the purpose of informing or for seeking action.   All such communication should be done in a  civil manner; otherwise, your voice will not be heard.  To be an effective civil advocate, it is important to be well informed.  Government bodies don't always make it easy to know what is going on so the advocate will have to work to be knowledgeable.

This site will begin building a list of information sources, starting at the top, the Federal government and working through to the local "dog catcher."
