The Freedom Tower is one of Miami's most significant historical landmarks. It was built in 1925 as home to The Miami News, which relocated in 1957. The federal government used the building in the '60s to process Cuban immigrants. Today it serves as a memorial to Cuban immigrants. The Freedom Tower is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
