The Flight Deck is a collaborative arts space and performance venue that opened on June 6, 2014 in Downtown Oakland, where artists of all kinds and ages can work, play, collaborate, learn and thrive. A project of Ragged Wing Ensemble, it is home to multiple artists and organizations, and will contribute to making Oakland a cultural destination.
The Flight Deck is in the W. J. Laymance Building at 1540 Broadway, Oakland, CA 94612. The architect of record for the building (1911) was Charles W. Dickey. 1
The Flight Deck was the recipient of the 2015 East Bay Express Readers' Poll Award for Best New Arts Venue.
