Illinois Quad City area public libraries belong to the PrairieCat catalog, which includes 135 library members sharing more than 5 million items among a common library catalog. Once you get a library card from your home library (the library in the city where you live) you can use it at at PrairieCat library, including libraries in outlying areas of the Quad Cities, such as Geneseo, Colona, Cordova, and Orion, IL. Select academic and school libraries are also included in PrairieCat. All Illinois public libraries in the Quad Cities belong to the RAILS delivery network, so Illinois items may be picked up and delivered to the Illinois location of your choice.
Due to a special Interstate Borrowing agreement signed between these libraries and Davenport Public Library, patrons of these libraries and of Davenport Public Libraries are accorded walk-in borrowing privileges at each other's locations. Iowa items MUST be returned to the Davenport Library branch where they were checked out. For questions, please contact your home library.
