Kirby Derby is an annual day of awesomeness each June in Raleigh NC on Kirby Street.

PineCar Classic

Parade

• It's Fabulous. Fantastical. Fanatical. It's the Kirby Derby Day Parade!

• Cocktails on the curb and strategizing for the best curb site is by 5pm

• Parade starts at 5:30pm-ish sharp. Lineup is at 5pm sharp.

Drag Race

• This is a speed walking event (or speed swagger) – no running
• If you are a man in the race, you must wear heels 2″ high minimum and a skirt or dress (stay tuned – that height might increase)
• If you are a woman, you must wear loosely laced men’s work boots at least 3 sizes too big

Soapbox Derby

• The Derby is an adult event, as Dead Man's Curve and the Racers themselves can be very unpredictable.
