Bandy FieldBandy Field (a.k.a. Bandy Field Nature Park or Bandy Park) is 17.86 acres of undeveloped green space in the West End. The primary entrance is on Three Chopt Road just west of Patterson Avenue.

It serves as a popular place for general recreation, not a dog park, a birding habitat, nature trail, and nature preserve park.

Enforced Rules and Regulations

  • The small gravel parking lot on Three Chopt Road is the only permitted parking space.
  • Park closes at dark.
  • No glass containers.
  • No alcohol.
  • Dogs must be kept on leash and picked up after ($250 fine for leaving a mess). The leash rule is often ignored by pet owners, but do so at your own risk. People are frequently fined here.
