Bruce Tyler is currently serving as the Richmond City Council member from the 1st District.
Biography
Outside of the Council, Tyler is a Principal at Baskervill, an architectural, engineering, and interior design firm. Tyler has his Masters degree in Product Design from the North Carolina State University. He completed his undergraduate education with a B.S. in architecture from Virginia Tech, but also attended The University of Richmond. Prior to that, he attended Douglas Freeman High School.
Career
Tyler was elected to the City Council in 2006 and serves as Vice Chairman of the Finance Committee, Chairman of the Government Operations Committee, and member of the Organizational Development Committee.
