The Boulevard is one of Richmond's best known streets. It serves as a landmark and navigational aid because of its prominence and central location. Also known as Route 161, The Boulevard runs north and south. On the north end, it branches off of Hermitage Road and crosses over the following streets before its terminus at Grant Street in William Byrd Park:
