      • Résumé : Vente d’une partie du lot no 1 du 9e rang du canton de Stanstead : « …upon the Canal upon the Westwardly side of the King’s highway leading to Derby, bounded the said tract of land upon the Northeastwardly or upper side by an emplacement and privilege this day conveyed by the said Vendor to Mr. Freeman Haskell on the Southwest or lower side by a line drawn parallel with the said Northeast line and at such a distance herefrom as that it shall pass twenty feet below the lower side of the old saw Mill now in ruins and extending the said Southwestwardly boundary from the Southeast side of the said Canal Northwestwardly eighty feet, on the Southeastwardly side by the Southeastwardly bank of the said Canal and on the Northwestwardly side a line to be drawn from the northern extremity of the said Southwestwardly boundary line to the Northwest corner of the land of the said Haskell, with the privileges of passing to and from the said premises to the said highway […]. […] that [the said purchaser] shall not erect a dam upon the said premises of a greater height than twelve feet nor to injure the Waterwheel or Building above, and also that the said purchaser […] shall not erect any Buildings upon the said premises but such as may be necessary for carrying on the Iron Foundry Business in all its branches for which particular Business the present Bargain is thus made. And the said Vendor doth engage that the water shall not be diverted from the said Canal to the injury of the said purchaser ». Le lot est vendu pour la somme de 25 pounds.

      • Résumé : Matteson vend, pour la somme de 41 « Pounds », une partie du lot no 1 du 9e du canton de Stanstead, incluant les installations de sa fonderie. Terrain décrit ainsi : « …upon the Canal on the Westwardly side of the King’s Highway leading to Derby bounded upon the Northeastwardly or upper side of the piece of land owned by Freeman Haskell […] together with the Betterments building and improvements thereon erected and made, including all and singular the patterns flasks and apparatus for carrying on the Iron Foundry business […] ».
