La Entrada High School is in the San Juan Unified School District.

La Entrada high school is the only continuation high school is the San Juan Unified School District and is located at 5320 Hemlock Street in Sacramento. La Entrada is an alternative school for eleventh and twelfth graders or anyone sixteen years or older. The majority of our students are voluntary transfers due to credit deficiency and can recover credits if they attend and complete all work.

Classes begin sharply at 8:10am and students will be released at 2:30pm daily except on Thursday, when the final bell will ring at 1:15pm. Unfortunately, due to the statewide budget crisis, busing is not offered. Students who decide to attend must attend daily and will be required to be on time.

The successful La Entrada student is very self-motivated. All students will have the option of recovering credits but attendance is a must. Credits are issued to students for productive seat time, in other words, you must attend and produce. La Entrada uses the same district adopted textbooks and curriculum in all subjects. It is the unique small school and class size that distinguishes our school from the traditional high schools. Our students do not fall between the cracks, and they develop positive relationships with teachers that lead to improved attendance and grades.
