True Love Coffee House has a history of bringing music and other awesomeness to town. They were located at 2406 J Street for 3 and a half years, but were unexpectedly forced to close after they lost their lease. The place got occupied by what is now Beach Hut Deli. True Love Cafe reopened at a new location on K Street on Wednesday, November 15th 2006.

True Love Cafe is open way late by coffeehouse standards, serves a bunch of different stuff (including things like waffles at midnight), has board games to play and an outdoor-ish patio. They also have free wireless internet access.

Comment on the True Love

2007-05-21 02:43:40   This is one of my favorite places in Sacramento. The atmosphere is relaxed and the people working are always friendly and fun to talk to. The drinks are excellent—try a "Dark Lord" mocha for pure indulgence or get some Sereni-tea for something light and very yummy. I love Italian sodas, and have tons of fun finding new combinations of flavors: try raspberry & ginger spice. The food is also great; I tend to order the nachos with black beans. It's not a heavy meal but will fill you up for a great price. The falafel I had was a little dry, but the hummus is delicious! I almost wish I lived downtown so I could visit everyday! —Cedar

2007-06-06 10:27:15   The atmosphere at True Love is superb - most of the time it's relaxed, warm and open. It hasn't been the "cool place" to hang out since it re-opened on K, but I'm not sure that's a bad thing. The front room (across from where you order) is terrible. There just isn't enough space for the music and activities that they want to do there. The coffee is just okay too - you go to TL for the people, not for the coffee. —BretB

2007-11-04 11:00:30   I enjoy the environment at True Love and the staff is usually friendly, but the PRICES! Holy cow - the prices are outrageous, especially for very mediocre-tasting drinks. —Cali4niaRags

2009-01-21 20:25:18   True Love on K street is now closed. The building was taken over by a mediterranean restaurant. The story I heard about this was they wanted to share the building with the restaurant by moving upstairs, but the building was only zoned for one business, so the mediterranean place took over the building completely and sold "True Love" coffee. I'm not sure if the coffee they serve is from the same supplier, or of any other new business arrangements.

Could someone else please confirm? —erikschorr
