Summary of services: The Early Childhood Education Center provides low-income families with childcare resources and accommodates them depending on their needs. SFSU matriculating students receive priority registration at the ECEC and are sorted by student status and income, of which undergraduate students receive highest priority followed by Credential students, MA students and Doctoral students. Within these student categories, low-income students and siblings are prioritized. Students receiving Pell grant or that are income eligible based on California Dream Application have their cost covered by the Federal grant CCAMPIS. If families are unable to qualify for these grants, the Associated Students organization offers a sliding scale to subsidize the cost of care. Tuition is based on how many hours families are contracted for and their income level.

  • Age Restriction: Between the ages of 4 months to 3 years
  • Subsidized grant availability: Yes if income requirements are met
  • Requirements for being admitted: Must be a current full-time or part-time student
