Important Housing Dates For New SFSU Residents 

2022-2023 Academic Year 

FALL 2022

MARCH 2022

-March 1st: Housing application opens for everyone.

​-March 31st: Early reservation notifications sent to qualifying students.

APRIL 2022

-April 15th: Housing reservation notifications begin.

MAY 2022

-May 15th: Community assignment notifications begin.

JUNE 2022

-June 3rd: Housing application closes for students.

-June 15th:Move-in confirmations become available for students on the Housing Portal Website.

-Mid June:Waitlist opens for students.

JULY 2022

-July 15th: Move-in confirmation deadline for students. 

AUGUST 2022

-August 12th: Housing community opens. 

-August 29th: Meal plan change deadline.

NOVEMBER 2022

-November 18th: Fall recess begins- Dining facilities close after dinner.

-November 28th: Fall recess ends- Dining facilities open at breakfast.

DECEMBER 2022

-December 10th: Finals week begins.

-December 16th: Winter break- Dining facilities close after dinner.

-December 17th: Res Halls& TJS close after noon- all other communities remain open.

 

SPRING 2023

JANUARY 2023

-January 21st: Spring Move-in begins for students.

FEBRUARY 2023

-February 6th: Last day to make meal plan changes.

MARCH 2023

-March 17th: Spring recess begins. Dining facilities close after dinner- all other communities remain open.

-March 27th: Spring recess ends. Dining facilities reopen at breakfast.

MAY 2023

-May 13rd: Finals week begin- 24 hour quiet hours in effect.

-May 27th: Housing community closes. All resident move out& dining facilities close after lunch.
