Physical Therapy


The Physical Therapy program at SFSU is a joint program with the University of California, San Francisco. It is a 36 week program at UCSF that includes 34 weeks of hands-on full time clinical experience. The curriculum ensures students build experience and knowledge. They only accept 50 students a year and allow students to work with patients and prepare them for a future career in physical therapy. Regarding admissions, it is important to apply early because there is a 4-5 week waiting period, and finish all major prerequisites. To get into the program you must have a 3.6 GPA or higher and have an undergraduate major in Kinesiology, Health/Exercise Science, Biology, Physiology, or Psychology.
