Gender-Inclusive housing is a resource that is available to all SFSU students whether they be freshmen, returning, or transfer students. Gender-inclusive housing is available to both cisgender and transgender individuals, but priority will go to students who need these services based on gender identity. While the location and number of gender inclusive dorms changes, for the most part these dorms are located in the Towers at Centennial Square and University Park South. Gender inclusive housing allows students to be formed together regardless of sex or gender identity. Reach out to housing for more information or if you are interested in these services.

SFSU is one of about 270 American colleges/universities that provide gender-inclusive housing, promoting inclusivity and equality for queer students. The facilities are the exact same as their peers, with the exception of roommate guidelines, and are in good condition as well as available. The gender-inclusive housing resources are a bit hard to find and can be difficult to get in contact with, which is a definite downside and stressor for people interested in these services. That said, once queer students make contact and are able to request these services, SFSU does a smooth job of providing students with what they are able.
