All it takes is one person with a good idea. In the case of Williamsburg Village the one person was Megan McDermott and her idea was to install A Little Free Library for the neighborhood. She and her neighbor, Judy Holman, created this welcoming spot for passers-by to sit and enjoy a good book. They introduced the Little Library with a Little Wine and Cheese event. The idea is to take and leave a book, and the neighbors have joined in with enthusiasm. Books are, like magic, appearing and disappearing. One added benefit is that even those you think are non-readers surprise you! Like the mail we will keep it going through snow, sleet and hail. Maybe you will want to start one of your own!
