TransitCity Billboard TransitCity was a Light Rail Transportation plan that Former Mayor David Miller had negotiated with the Province of Ontario.

Among the first things that current Mayor of Toronto Rob Ford declared once sworn in, was that TransitCity was dead and Underground Subway trains were the way to go.

Metrolinx, the provincial agency, has asked for Clarity from Toronto City Council as to what direction the City of Toronto wants when it comes to upwards of $8.4 Billion of money which has been earmarked for new Transit Infrastructure.

Current TTC Chair Karen Stintz petitioned fellow City Councillors and received 23 of their signatures plus her own, enough for the City Clerk to answer her request to hold a Special Meeting of Toronto City Council.
