JOHNSON, JOSEPH

Joseph Johnson was born January 23, 1904 in Croft Township, the son of Walter Dennis and Elizabeth Alice (Butler) Johnson.

Joe enlisted in the Artillery and was part of the Italy campaign.

Joe stayed on after the war as part of the occupational force in Holland. Joe’s comment regarding the people of Holland was that he: “Never knew people who had so little but were willing to share so much”.

Joe, Jim and Harold had their roots in Parry Sound. They moved west during the 1930’s and stayed there.
