MISENER, PTE VINCENT

Vincent Misener enlisted in the 24th Field Ambulance Corps in 1941 and by September of 1942 was overseas. He served in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany with the 15th Ambulance Corps.

Vincent married his wife Iris in the British Isles while he was in the Service. Vincent and Iris initially returned to Elmira, Vincent’s home town but later moved to Sudbury and, in 1967, to Dunchurch. In 1968 Vincent became Clerk-Treasurer for Hageman Township and served in that capacity until his retirement in June 1989. He was a founding member of Legion Branch 394.
