At the time of the signing of his Attestation papers in Toronto, May 23, 1918 Victor identified that he lived in Magnetawan. He identified his next of kin as his father, Robert Raaflaub, also of Magnetawan.
In his Discharge Certificate Victor was identified as joining the 2nd Depot Battery, 1st Central Ontario Regiment in Toronto on May 21, 1918.
He was identified as being with the C.M.G.B. (Canadian Machine Gun Brigade) in England.
He was discharged on July 31, 1919.
