They sold to Ewen Wallace Cameron Esquire Sydney 10/1/1865 for £200, ‘pieces or parcels and allotments of land situate lying and being in the township of Mt Barker’ and ‘all those pieces or parcels of land situate lying and being near the township of Mt Barker and the lands suburban thereto numbered as in the second schedule’

She gave her marriage certificate to the Immigration Officerformerly McDonald when the McDonalds emigrated to Australia in 1850 and he did not return the document. George McDonald died about 10 months after the family landed. Mary McDonald m 2/6/1856 to John Wood, at Strathalbyn. William Brown Wesleyan Methodist Minister married them. Mrs Wood had declared herself a spinster in 1875, thinking that this would keep the property from the control of her husband.
