Biography
Born in Skaneateles, NY with the full name Caroline Eliza Floyd Briggs. Her and her husband lived in Painesville, Ohio until about 1857 where she had lived 2 doors east from her father. Rufus then built her a house in Attica which is where the library is today. She died in Attica at the age of 71 and is buried in Forest Hill Cemetery.
