This charming vegetarian burger joint is super accommodating of dietary restrictions AND delicious -- a rare combination. The entire menu is meat-free and easily made vegan, gluten-free, and/or soy-free. The staff is mostly young and nice; if not always the most punctual, they are quickly forgiven by being some of the most amiable staff members in the Bay. Prices are typical of the area (not cheap) but the portions are generous to a fault. The vibe of the place is space-dinner and the music is usually fun and upbeat. Family safe, date perfect, and generally a Berkeley spot not to be missed.

PLUS, if you are looking for gender neutral bathrooms, the place doesn't sort its patrons and both restrooms are gender non-specific!
