Darnall's has the only indoor pistol range in the area. They also have multiply outdoor ranges for rifles and sporting clays. They offer a wide variety of firearm training and educational classes. Darnall's has multiply leagues for pistol, shotgun, trap, skeet and cowboy action shoots. The cowboy action shoots are pretty cool, all participants dress in dated western outfits for fun and do different scenarios on the course with a combination of lever action rifles, revolvers and shotguns. Darnall's also has a gun shop and repair. Ron Darnall has over 40 years of experience as a gunsmith. Shells, reloading supplies and gun accessories are available in the shop. They also offer yearly memberships for discount access to the ranges.

2011-10-03 11:22:51   Darnall’s Gun Works and Ranges truly is the place to go for shooting in the Bloomington Normal area. I frequent the range at least a couple times a month. The facility is always nicely kept and clean. The staff is also knowledgeable and friendly. If you have a question about a gun, or shooting in general, Ron will be able to answer it for you. There are two Pitbulls that run around the facility, and they are the nicest dogs you would ever meet. They run around from person to person trying to find someone who will scratch their bellies.

Darnall’s is a very family friendly atmosphere, children are always welcome. It is a great place for families to come to teach their young ones the fun of shooting. They have quite a few trap throwers, so there is always room for people to walk in and shoot. Darnall’s in a great place for a first time shooter to come in, because they have everything in the store that you need to get started, from shells and gun, to clothing and accessories. Danrall’s is definitely my number one choice for shooting and supplies in the Bloomington Normal area.
