Frisbee Golf is also known as disc golf which is usually played in a park. The game was originally created from the old leisure activity of just throwing a Frisbee back and forth between groups of people. Frisbee Golf can either be played with single competitors or with doubles. It is a game of mixed genders but men and women usually play in different divisions or leagues. Frisbee Golf consists of throwing a flying disk into a basket or at a target. According to the Professional Disc Golf Association, "The object of the game is to traverse a course from beginning to end in the fewest number of throws of the disc." There are different locations in which you can play this game. Some places already have courses set up for you, with targets, and obstacles. Otherwise you can designate a course around any park itself. You can use trees, light poles, or even fence posts as your holes.

The game starts off by what is called “teeing off.” Each player starts by throwing their Frisbee from within the teeing area. When the disc is first released, one of the player’s supporting points much still remain in contact with the boundaries of the teeing area. After everyone goes in the first round, you go pick up your Frisbee and throw again until you have reached your target. You continue doing this until you have gotten around to all of the targets, or holes on the course. The object of the game is to complete the whole course with the fewest amount of throws. The person with the fewest amount of throws is the winner.

If a player at any time throws a practice throw or an extra throw after the start of his or her round and prior to finishing the last hold of the round will receive one penalty throw. Any throw must be observed by any two players or an official to be marked down and to count.

There are several different kinds of discs that can be used during game play. There are the basic discs, putters, mid-rangers, and drivers. There is the backhand, forehand and alternative throws. The course is made of five different components. The course has targets, tee pads, signage, topography, and the safety component. There are different kinds of scoring but the most popular form of scoring is the medal play. The other ways of scoring are the match play, skins, speed golf, and captain’s choice.
