Planet Beach is a high end contempo spa located directly behind Krispy Kreme on Veterans Parkway. It is targeted mostly towards men and women, not students, because of the cost. It is a little more pricey than other places on campus because it is more upscale, cleaner, and has more than just tanning services to offer. Planet beach also carries a wide range of products from Designer Skin, Australian Gold, Sweedish Beauty, and Planet Beach.
UV Therapy
Planet Beach offers 6 different levels of UV Therapy. The VIP is a 15 minute lay down bed equipped with facial tanners. The Platinum is a 12 minute lay down bed with primarily UV-B rays, also equipped with facial tanners. The Platinum Stand-up is a 10 minute stand up version of the Platinum bed, this bed helps with those stubborn lines you can't expose in laydowns. The Elite is a 10 minute laydown bed. with four facial tanners and also shoulder tanners. The Elite Stand-up is an 8 minute version of the Elite bed and is the strongest stand-up bed offered. The Velocity HP is a high pressure bronzing bed, strictly made to take your tan to the next level. It is recommended every 3 to 4 tans.

Planet Beach Bloomington offers 3 different spa services, and a Mystic Tan.
The Hydration Station - The Hydration station is a liquid vitamin steam bath, including a choice of 4 different types of aroma therapy. The hydration station is great during anytime of the year and is primarily used for moisturizing.
The Aqua massage - The aqua massage is a machine in which you lay in fully clothed, for a 10, 15, or 20 minute session. There are 7 different profiles to choose from anywhere from a light hand massage, to a deep tissue massage.
The Lumiere - The lumiere facial is a 20 minute session in which you lay under a phototherapy light. You must purchase a tri-packet to go along with the session. Your options are repairing, clearing, or firming.
The Mystic Tan - The mystic tan is a spray tan booth which offers three different levels of a clear based spray. It differs from mystic tans at other salons because it is a green-based clear coat spray and does not have any self tanners in it, which allows for a more natural glow. Results appear within 6 to 8 hours and typically last 7-9 days.
