Bloomington normal has many places to skate with two parks, and numerous spots. If you know of a great spot not shown here then add it.

FAIRVIEW SKATE PARK

-Location: Fairview park, 949 North Main Street, Normal, Il -Security: Police often scan the aera to help prevent crime and promote saftey around the skate park area. -Details: The park includes includes quarterpipes 3', 5', 7', and 9'; A box with a hip, a bench, 2 rails, a step-up manual pad, and two launch ramps; A tall mini ramp; A hipped quarterpipe about 4' tall; And, an array of various other ramps and boxes. -Helpful hints:

Does it cost money to skate?: No.

There is a list of rules and guidelines but they are not enforced.

lights are automatic and park closes a little close to 12:00 P.M.

O'NEIL SKATE PARK

-Location: 1515 W. Chestnut St. at White Oak Rd. Bloomington Illinois 61741 -security: Park police often frequent this park due to some of the shady people who hang out there, but overall a safe place to skate. -Details:Oneil park is a great place to ride or skate for all ages, ih has larger and smaller obstacles so its sutible for ages and levels of skating, or riding. -Helpful hints:

"BRIDGE RAILS"

-Location: Isu bridge over college ave. -Security: yes, but you just get a warning. -Details: slides well, kind of a longer rail, perfect for rollerblades or bmx. not so much board.

"TRAIL RAILS"

-Location: On the constitution trail behind the police station in Normal. -Security: No worries here, the police sometimes watch in awh. -Details: Older rails, one is knee high and the other is hip high, slide well, great landing, but watch out for pedestrians on the trail itsself.

"FIELD HOUSE"

-Location: Horton Field house,100 North University Street, Normal, Illinois. -Security: Campus police will kick you out with a warning. -Details: This spot has multiple rails all about hip high, with exclent run up and landing. Perfect for anyone.

Low lit at night, hard to see.
