  • "LOVE THIS SHOP! stop in here pretty much every Saturday, and it is rare we walk out empty handed. The inventory is always turning over and there are so many interests covered in the large collection of vintage things that are on hand. Prices are right, the owner is friendly and obviously loves what he does. Stop in just to look around and hopefully you'll find something to take home too."

About: Great place to buy used furniture. You walk in the doors and the furniture is towards the right of the store. They have a lot of variety! They have lots of greats items including; chairs, couches, desks, lamps, wardrobes, wood furniture, rugs, paintings, etc. They also have great everyday necessities like kitchen utilities. A couch can go from $20-$50, which is a great deal! As soon as you're ready to check out the employees are very nice, and love to chat.

Reviews from customers in the past:

  • "I think this store is great! It had gone through a management shift and is currently working on past management glitches from what I understand. Part of the experience is the hunt for me. Some items may appear overpriced, but most are very reasonable. All items are in constant mark down as weeks go by so if I find an item a bit expensive i will just ask if and when the price will be reduced. I have been shopping Goodwill throughout Illinois for many years and commend this organization for their many missions. It's not just a thrift store!"
  • "very nice, clean bathrooms and things were organized by size. i found several vintage dresses, and in that fit perfectly!"

Used Furniture websites:

If you're too lazy to go out and look, then there's opportunities to look online as well! On the Bloomington-Normal craigslist website there's lots of great deals that people put online. It changes quite frequently so there's always different furniture that you can find online . Overall it has good pricing since people are trying to get ride of what they don't need. The seller usually gives there number or email to be able to reach them and be able to negotiate on the price of the item you need. Sellers usually get back quickly, and give positive responses! It's always great to look on craigslist since you don't have to go anywhere just have to look on a computer and find the item you need online!

Another popular website BloNo can visit would be Facebook!

The Link Below always has new furniture added to the page where you can negotiate prices! Its 30%-75% Below Retail Cost! So it'll never hurt to look.

Garage/Yard Sales:

In Bloomington-Normal during the summer when the weather allows it many people sell some furniture outside of their own homes! They will usually put signs on main roads like Hershey that will tell you where exactly to go or find a garage/yard sale! It's pretty popular in Bloomington-Normal. Prices are great! Many don't over price. It's always good to stop by and see what they have to offer.

Which one is cheaper:

Overall Bloomington-Normal has many greats places to go to find used furniture. However, there's always going to be places where you can find about the same item just cheaper. Usually thrift shops where the items are donated are going to be the cheapest places where you can locate the items you need. The cheapest places where you can locate those used items would be Goodwill as well as Mission mart.
