Dawson's was established in 1995, and has several locations throughout Boise, all of which serve an excellent variety of coffees and espresso drinks. Its downtown location is rumored to be Boise's "Democratic" coffee shop, while just across the street is its "Republican" rival, Thomas Hammer Coffee Roasters. Todd Shallat can often be found at Dawson's Downtown on N. 8th St.
