Mixed Casual Korean Bistro, located on East Franklin Street in Chapel Hill in N.C., was co-founded in 2013 by Jimmy Kim who is an alumni of Duke University. He wanted to create a place where a Korean version of Chipotle is served. Mixed is known for its Bibimbap and signature soy-marinated “Ugly Wings.”
- Atmosphere
Mixed offers great food with a spacious seating combined with “industrial modern rustic” concept. It provides a soothing, yet exciting atmosphere to enjoy a meal or even a simple drink. You might come with friends for a good time and even work and surf the web with its complimentary wireless internet.
- Food Truck
The restaurant, which launched its food truck in June 2015, has reached more customers in the Durham/Raleigh area to offer its signature items and other famous items such as Spicy Chicken and Korean style pulled pork sandwiches. It is available to check the truck schedule on its website, Facebook and Twitter.
- Offering
Along with about 10 types of appetizers including fries, wings, and Korean style pancakes, Mixed offers Bibimbap which is Korean-style Chipotle. You can make it by choosing each type of rice, vegetables, meats and sauces. There are also various drinks and dessert such as Bingsoo which is a flavored shaved ice dessert with toppings. The restaurant also offers various catering options to best suit customers’ needs such as Korean BBQ packages or Bibimbap Buffet.
