Fire Station 44 is one of Butte County Fire and Rescue's busiest stations, covering parts of Chico, the lower Skyway, and Butte Creek Canyon. In addition to standard firefighting, rescue, and medical gear, Engine 44 carries extrication tools to rescue victims trapped inside wrecked automobiles.
