Orchard Supply Hardware (aka OSH) is a hardware store in Chico that fulfills home and maintenance needs. They have sections of the store that include electrical, garden, nursery, heating, cooling, ventilation, insulation, home safety, lawn, yard, patio, paint, wall coverings, plumbing, renovation, and decoration.

OSH once again became an independent company on December 30, 2011. It was formerly owned by Sears Holdings and Aries Holdings. Aries Holdings previously owned approximately 50% of OSH's stock. Sears Holdings Corporation owned a smaller percentage. Sears decided to spin off OSH into its own company. OSH stores are located only in the state of California but have a significant amount of stores. Orchard Supply Hardware began in San Jose, California when 30 farmers put forth $30 each to buy their farming supplies as a cooperative. OSH maintains its headquarters in San Jose.

Many of the employees here are Chico State students, with other workers from many diverse backgrounds. While OSH is not as big as other improvement stores (such as Home Depot or Lowes), their prices are generally competitive and they are the only major home improvement store in North Chico and therefore are not only busy most days, but quite lucrative.
