The Sierra Nevada Brewing Company Experimental Hopyard is a hopyard located at the corner of East Twentieth Street and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard. The hopyard was planted by the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company for use in their specialty brews.

The sign in front reads:

"Hops grown in the Sacramento Valley were once prized for their outstanding quality. Eventually, all the yards were razed for more economically valuable crops.

We have planted this experimental yard with several American and European varieties to demonstrate the unique growing methods and appearance of this vital brewing ingredient.

The fresh picked, green hops form this field will be incorporated into special batches of beer showcasing the aromatic qualities of these unique hops."
