Kris Allen helped increase nationwide awareness of Conway during the eighth season of American Idol in spring of 2009.

Occasionally, he performs in Simon Park on Front Street, and the City of Conway showed its appreciation by naming the stage for him.

Kris Allen performed at Reynolds Performance Hall on the UCA campus in April of 2009 (verify date). This event was free, but tickets were required.
