Abdul Alkalimat is a scholar activist.  He is Professor Emeritus in the Department of African American Studies and the Graduate School of Library and Information Science at the University of Illinois.  He is an activist for Black Liberation and social justice in the information revolution.  After being part of launching UC2B, a fast speed internet connection in Champaign-Urbana, he is part of founding InfoCity, a revolutionary initiative to transform the city based on using this new technology.
