Blue Moon Farms is a certified organic farm owned by Jon ___. Blue Moon Farms has been in operation since 1994 and is located 10 miles outside of Champaign-Urbana. His first venture in farming began in 1988 as a traveling farmer in California, Ohio, and Georgia. Blue Moon Farms was certified organic in 2000.
Blue Moon Farms can be reached at bluemoonfarm.biz, with produce in Urbana at Common Ground Co-op as well as Strawberry Fields grocery, the Urbana Farmers Market and in many local restaurants. Jon and his wife, who is a soil scientist, grow over 40 different types of crops, including salad greens and tomatoes, which are amongst their most popular.
