CU Woodshop Supply

Mission

When you visit CU Woodshop you will find a team of experts to help you with any woodworking project or question. Our team is made up of former contractors, experts woodworkers, and industry trainers.

We strive to be your resource for "all things woodworking." Unlike those "big box" stores where you might spend hours searching the aisles, we will help you target your needs in a fast, friendly, efficient and professional manner. And if we can't find a solution, we'll be the first to admit it and help you get the custom assistance that you deserve.

History

CU Woodshop Supply was established in 2008 by Dennis "Denny" Coleman  and a group of avid woodworkers (shown on the right in the picture), many of which were part of our early staff. CU Woodshop has continued to grow from the original Retail Store and member-owned DreamShop to now include the newly established CU School of Woodworking. The founder’s vision was to build a campus environment that met the every need of woodworker's in the Midwest and beyond. This vision has become a reality as our facilities have been described as the Midwest's Premier Woodworking Destination. We invite you to experience what Denny dreamed. See the latest in tools and accessories, or step up your skill with an extended class, or tour our state-of-the-art DreamShop.

History

Our CU Woodshop School of Woodworking is one of the top woodworking schools in the Midwest. Our range of tools is unmatched with professional-grade equipment, including table saws, band saws, miter saws, planers, router tables, drill presses, a spindle sander, belt-disk sander, edge sander, molder and shaper, among other pieces of equipment. At the CU Woodshop School of Woodworking we have assembled a team of experts, many nationally-known names, to guide you to higher level of woodworking achievement. Our classes are small by design—limited to 6 to 8 so you can get personalized and specialized instruction whether it's a specific project, or skill that you are focusing on. Our Education Coordinator is Mike VanPelt, an experienced instructor and administrator with over 30 years in trades, contracting, woodworking and, of course teaching!

We invite you to come out and experience woodworking learning at it's best! And enjoy all aspects of our "woodworking campus" which many have described as the Midwest's Premier Woodworking Destination!
