Centennial High School is a high school serving students grades 9 through 12 as part of Champaign Unit 4 Schools.  Centennial was originally an Annex to Central High School that was built in 1963. Centennial and Central still share resources; if a class is not offered at Centennial, a student may take the bus to attend the class at Central and vice versa. Centennial has experienced many changes throughout the years. For example, the front, enclosed, stairs were once open to the air and the mods in front of the school were added within the past ten years. In November 2016, voters approved funding for major renovations for Centennial as well as 6 other schools. Drafts of the renovations were unveiled 10 October 2017 and the school board is scheduled to consider approving them in January 2018.1

Centennial's colors are blue and white and their mascot is the Charger which is a knight riding a  horse while wielding a jousting lance.

School is generally held from 8:10 a.m. to 3:18 p.m.- except on Wednesdays, which are considered "Late Start" days when it is held from 9 a.m. to 3:18 p.m.
