Kamilah Davis is the daughter of Sonya and Denorris Davis.  She  attended Urbana High School where  she  was  a member  of the Principal  Scholars  Program, the Partnership for  Excellence  Program,  the  African-American  Club,  a  staff member of the Echo (the school newspaper), and captain of the Basketball  team.  She planned to attend Iowa State University and majored in Elementary Education.  She was a  member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.  She was the leading scorer  and rebounder  at Urbana  for four  years;  she  received Honorable Mention for  the Big  12 All-Conference team,  and was  selected  to  play  in  the  U.S.  Junior  National Basketball  Tournament  in  Washington,  DC.  Her  escort was Lamar Johnson.  Kamilah was presented by her father, Denorris and received by her mother, Sonya.
