David Murphy served as principal of Davis High School from 1981-1987, prior to becoming superintendent of El Dorado Union High School. He returned to become superintendent of DJUSD in 1998, where he served until 2007. He was appointed Superintendent of Education for California’s Division of Juvenile Justice, Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
