Kevin French was interim superintendent for Davis JUSD in 2016 following Winfred Roberson's departure. From 2006 to 2011 French served in administrative positions in the district until he ended as deputy superintendent. He left in 2011 to work as associate superintendent in the Acalanes Union High School District in Contra Costa County. He retired in 2015, before coming back to Davis JUSD as interim superintendent. His term as interim superintendent in Davis ended once John Bowes was hired.
