Chickpeas

Chickpeas is a Mediterranean fast food restaurant that bills itself as healthy cuisine. The menu is focused on shawarma, falafel, and hummus — the two latter of which are made from the eponymous chickpea.

2014-09-08 15:03:42   We had falafel there and it was very good with the fresh salad bar. And we had the same order, but then as a take-out. Good too. The only downside to 'us vegans' is that they offer shawarma too. I personally don't think that is a good combination, I would prefer a restaurant that calls itself 'Chickpeas' to be strictly vegetarian. —ConstantiaOomen

2014-10-14 13:13:18   Had lunch here recently - it was decent! If you buy any entree you get a free trip to their salad bar that had a lot of items like tabouli, marinated chickpeas, beet salad, pickled veggies, etc. With the plate lunch you get your sandwich plus hummus, baba ganoush and whatever from the salad bar; if you buy a pita only, they put the hummus in the pita along with the meat (lamb or chicken) and then you can stuff as much as you want in to the pita from the salad bar. I thought maybe the lamb was a bit dry, and that the pita was small. I mean, let's face it, nothing beats Sam's, but this is a good alternative, and they take credit cards! —j0liefllle

2015-01-19 15:03:03   Good, fresh food and condiment bar, but... you can only take these toppings if you buy certain items on the menu. There is no sign or indication inside the restaurant. I bought the gyro with hummus, and when I tried to put condiments on these foods, I was told I couldn't even get pickles or olives since this dish is on the "Appetizer" side of the menu. I would urge them to either post clearly or let us put condiments on any item. —NoelBruening
