Most all the approximately 1300 addresses in the neighborhood have at least 3 documents associated with it – the architectural survey cards, a 1969 photo and a 2003-4 photograph.
The architectural survey cards were compiled in 1969 and 1970 in response to the planned demolition of 75% of Heritage Hill. These research cards were required by the National Trust for Historic Preservation for nomination and acceptance to the National Register. Heritage Hill received this designation in 1971 and that effectively stopped the wrecking ball.
